Good news!

My dermatologist just called me. CT scan normal; bloodwork looks good.

Alleluia!

He sounded cautiously optimistic; I'm not being cautious at all. I'm happy about this. I don't know what the PET scan or the other pre-surgery mapping will show (I think they're both localized to head/neck)--but this means that so far, there's no evidence of this nastiness in my system.

I see the oncologist tomorrow.

I don't fully understand the implications of your CT scan and bloodwork results, but it sounds very good!

I was afraid to show a lot more attention here than usual--that it might seem a touch of reminder, and not so much love, but you have been very much on my heart and in all my prayers.

And now prayers of thanksgiving! Woooo!

Uh-uh. You, show up here as often as you want to. The comment you're referring to was in no way about anything you might do. If I post things to the world, that's an invitation for attention.

All of you: I know you love me. It's okay to show it.

Alleluia indeed. Continue to hold you up before God. Thanks for keeping us updated, friend.

Meaning the villen isn't in your lymphatic system, no? Hooray.

(I walked this journey with a dear friend six years ago and it was agony — this is the friend who had the stage IV melanoma; he never had to undergo chemo or radio though.)

Prayers still continue.

Prayers for you.

I know time just drags along when you first have a diagnosis, what with all the visits before you have a definite plan. I am on the provider end (pathologist), and I know I would be nuts even though I know how long stuff takes. None of that wave-a-tricorder instant diagnosis stuff, too bad.

However, classes might be a blessing - too BUSY to think about anything but the next paper.

Glad to hear it. Oh, after you get the PET scan, see if you can keep the mask-thingy. Paint it up and then keep it as a warrior-mask of sorts to remind you that you can fight this.

Alleluia and rock'n'roll! This is great news. I will continue to send prayers and good vibes. I think Kevin M's idea is great, btw.

Kevin, I love that idea. I'll do it.

Thank you all, for your prayers and your love.

OK then... {{Kirstin}} ::mwahhh::

Chin up, you're being well prayed for. So much so I can see God waving His hands like an irritated Jewish grandfather saying "Alright already! I get it!" ;)

C'mon David, everyone knows G*d is a Jewish grandmother.

Also, She's Black.

Kristin, great news!
