I was more nervous than I needed to be

…but I’m still kind of creeped out.

The needle itself is small and doesn’t hurt; the meds kind of burn. But once I get used to all the little steps and pieces, I’ll adjust to it.

Three times a week, through next June. But at least I only need bloodwork done once a month (not weekly like it has been).

Kirstin,
Sounds like you are doing better. Yeah, shooting yourself is a real trip. I did that when I was on chemo. I was taking EPO for anemia. EPO really hurts going in. I liked doing the shot myself because EPO hurts more if you push it in fast. I mean it *really* hurts. Doing it myself, I could control the rate it was being pushed in. AND I didn't have to wait in the injection room at Kaiser. Big bonus.

I rejoice that you have morefreedom in your life now.

Blessings
